Can you make a 383 from a small block chevy 400?

Can you bore a small block chevy 400 .030" over then destroke it by putting a SBC 350 crank in it to make it a 383. The 350 crank would destroke the 400 to a 377 then the .030" would add 6 more cubic inches to make it out to a 383, or something close, am I wrong? I was just thinking about it one day.
