Is having the wrong intake manifold the cause of my engine overheating?

Well I have a 1990's SBC 350 engine on my 1963 impala. It have a SBC 327 well I use the intake manifold from the 327 The center bolts are different but i made it work. I bought another intake manifold that I going to put on it to replace the 327 intake but I was just wondering if having the wrong intake manifold can cause my engine to over heat or is it something eals like the water pump?
