350 sbc knock sensor?

I am doing a motor swap on my 88 k20 suburban becuase my 350 threw a rod, i'm keeping the tbi set up for the time being but its an older engine, first off would me 88 even have knock sensors or are they able to be cut off without any issues? Thanks
